Durata affinamento: almeno 14 mesi in barriques di rovere francese di 2° e 3° passaggio.
Affinamento bottiglia: 12 mesi
Degustazione: Rosso rubino intenso con trame porpora. Al naso emergono sensazioni fruttate di ciliegia, e prugna, cui seguono note speziate di pepe nero e noce moscata. Chiudono le impressioni rifinite da un accenno di cioccolato per terminare con piacevoli rimandi di tabacco biondo. Il tannino è dolce e setoso e poi vellutato e largo.
Vinificazione: le uve vengono selezionate manualmente e le varietà vinificate separatamente. Fermentazione e macerazione in vasche di cemento per circa 25/30 giorni ad una temperatura controllata non superiore ai 28/30° C. Seconda fermentazione in barriques da 225 lt di rovere francese. L’affinamento si è svolto per ca. 18 mesi in barriques e successivamente per altri 6 mesi in bottiglia prima di essere messo sul mercato.

The 2013 Bolgheri Superiore Sant’Uberto is an offbeat blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot. Like the Bolgheri Rosso Imeneo, this wine lacks harmony and feels disjointed in places. Sour cherry and plum feel distant from the spice and tobacco that appear at the rear.

This is a medium to fullbodied Bolgheri Superiore blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot that is aged in barrique for 18 months. The fruit is forthcoming and bold.

The 2016 Bolgheri Superiore Sant’Uberto delivers lasting concentration and power. The aromas are tucked into the tight fiber of the wine with black cherry, prune and black currant. Cherry and cranberry flavors appear on the close, giving this wine a less opulent or ripe personality compared to many of its peers in this vintage. The blend is Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Some 6,000 bottles were made.
